What is Paediatric Occupational Therapy?

Paediatric Occupational Therapy includes comprehensive assessment and treatment of children of all ages.  Occupational Therapists work with a wide range of conditions in order to help children to develop daily skills such as handwriting, dressing, feeding and gross and fine motor coordination.

Occupational Therapists work towards developing independence and confidence in every day meaningful tasks using exciting and engaging activities.  Treatment can include direct therapy to develop motor and functional abilities, as well as recommendations for equipment or adaptive strategies for daily tasks.

Occupational Therapy at Therapy4Kids

We have a team of Paediatric Occupational Therapists who provide a comprehensive initial assessment and reports to identify areas of concern. Following this, they can provide individual therapy to work on your child’s personalised goals. Therapeutic input also includes parent and educational consultation during therapy sessions in the clinic, home or school.

We run a weekly after school handwriting group as well as intensive 5 days holiday groups. Our Occupational Therapists can also provide training workshops for staff and parents, upon request by the school.
