Our Approach
Each child is affected differently, and our treatments are individually tailored and specifically focused to your child's abilities and needs.
Our assessments are thorough to ensure we address the core of the problem during our therapy sessions, rather than applying a 'general' treatment or simply teaching splinter skills.
Children learn best through play, and we incorporate it into our therapy activities with graded challenge and fun!
For neurodevelopmental concerns we mainly use a Bobath / Neurodevelopmental (NDT) approach:
This is a problem-solving 'hands-on' approach, using specialist techniques of handling and facilitation together with your child's active participation. Continual reassessment ensures we meet your child's changing needs and maximise progress.

Our multidisciplinary skills allow us to combine elements of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy as appropriate, to address any associated difficulties. These may be disturbances of sensation, perception, cognition, behaviour, communication, epilepsy, visual difficulties and the later developing musculo-skeletal problems.
We employ other techniques where needed, such as massage, joint mobilisation, pilates, yoga and muscle strengthening.
These techniques are also used for musculo-skeletal problems, where more specific soft tissue or joint mobilization techniques are called upon.
